Information We Collect

Account data: Email address, name, company name, and password (hashed). Payment information is processed by Stripe and not stored by us.

Usage data: Which competitors you monitor, report viewing activity, and feature usage.

Competitor data: We collect publicly available information from competitor websites, job boards, advertising platforms, social media profiles, and public forums. We do not access private or authenticated content.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the Service, generate competitive intelligence reports, send reports and alerts via email and Slack, process payments, and improve the Service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and infrastructure providers (DigitalOcean for hosting). Reports are private to your account.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Reports and monitoring data are retained according to your plan tier. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

Cookies

We use a single httpOnly authentication cookie to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Authentication tokens are signed with industry-standard algorithms. API endpoints are protected with rate limiting and key authentication.

Your Rights

You may: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account, and export your reports. Contact support@scanrivals.com for any data requests.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
